Do you know "CYALUME DANCE" ?
“Ginyu Tokusentai”, the predecessor of GinyuforcE was formed in 2009.
They uploaded their dance movie on YouTube with Cyalume glow sticks in hand. This new type of performance advanced from Wotagei attracted public attention through TV appearance and events.
It did not take long at all to gain followers not only in Japan but also in many other countries.
Inspired by them, now there are many Cyalume Dancers all over the world.
GinyuforcE is actively trying to expand this new dance genre around the world, aiming someday Cyalume Dance joins the Olympics.
In 2018, after the 10 years from its first appearance, the first-ever Cyalume Dance World Battle was held at the 8 cities and 1st champion was born on January 19, 2019.
This year conventions at 9 cities will be the battle stages and the final match will be held in January 2020.

1. Register yourself at the Lumica Booth at the convention before the competition starts.
(One single dancer per stage)
Please come in comfortable and moveable clothing and shoes.
We supply each participant Daisenko 6" glow stick before dancing.
Only this Daisenko glow stick is allowed to use for the battle.
2. Pick one tune from the songs announced on the battle day.
Your performance on the stage is by the entry order. Express yourself at the climax of the song.
3. The qualifiers are to dance in a tournament.

Yoshida Brothers, the leading player of Tsugaru-shamisen, the three-stringed Japanese guitar, celebrates the 20th anniversary of their debut in 2019.
Ryoichiro Yoshida, born on July 26th, 1977
Kenichi Yoshida, born on December 16th, 1979
The Yoshida Brothers were born in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido.
They started to learn the shamisen from five years old and began studying Tsugaru-shamisen under Takashi Sasaki from 1990.
After sweeping awards at many of the national Tsugaru-shamisen’s conventions, they made their major debut in 1999 with album “Ibuki”. This debut album recorded a remarkable success in the traditional Japanese folk music. So far they released 13 albums.
After their debut in the US in 2003, they’ve been performing all over the world and actively collaborate with many artists both domestic and international, such as MONKEY MAJIK, DAISHI DANCE, MOMOIRO CLOVER Z, EXILE, TAKAO OSAWA, etc.
In 2015, they released “PRANA” collaborated with “NARUTO” exhibition and attracted many fans.
In September 2017, they provided a song to Jason Paul’s new Red Bull Web Movie. In November of the same year they produced a theme song for the Japanese subtitles of “Kubo and the Two Strings”.
Recently Ryoichiro formed a new band called “WASABI” that consists of only the Japanese traditional instruments (Shamisen, Shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), Koto (Japanese harp), Japanese drum) and performs mainly at the school events.
Kenichi produced a group of Tsugaru-shamisen called “Shippu”, for the young top-class players and acted as a Japan Cultural Envoy in 2015.
Yoshida Brothers are now expanding each of their activities and continue to make the world their stage, beyond the framework of traditional Japanese performing arts.

Gear was the member of “Ginyu Tokusentai”, the pioneer of Cyalume Dance.
He is a choreographer and stage director in various video media and many of the current dance skills have been created by him.
He’s pursuing and spreading the potentiality of Cyalume Dance in the world.
Many are aspired by him and get into the Cyalume Dance world.
